What can I say,....some goof spent a lot of money with a band that has the ever-so despised "F" word in bands name ,...and what do you get.
BOOM.
Total Fucking Destruction's album,' Hater', is a difficult album to" expect."
It could be the bands,"best album yet",which is a dually a blessing and a curse.
The production is expensive, and it reminds me of pig destroyer's album prowler, though the two bands sounds are not entirely alike.
Short, blast bursts, with a multi-layered guitar work, makes this album pack alot of power.
Well worth the checkout!!

Six Brew Bantha is a chaotic, ferocious,beast of a band....that sounds like Dropdead,or the ever so holy band,'Shitlist'.I think the band takes Adrenochrome before hitting the "record" button on their cassette recorder.
This is a terribly aggressive noise thrashcore.
I HAVE to keep it....it's severely annoying.sort of like if you mix snivleM album prick,and Hellnation. Just fucking thraaashing together at the same volume.
All in all its a keeper.

The new Deicide album titled ,"To Hell With God." just took a dump right on my pc stereo systems.
This band have carved a great lp in my opinion, its furious, meticulous, and the vocals are 'right on'. I think the band has always sounded good.A monolith of the death metal community. (<---pleasant euphemism). Enter Glen Benton. a few years back, Benton claimed to have seen a Sasquatch or Bigfoot in a Florida state forest.

That alone scores a Melvins look,{huh?!}

It seems that our favorite bassist is suffering from prolonged exposure to death metal.
These symptoms have a devastating effect on the eyes, (bigfoot)and can cause damage to the ears...

Maybe not in the way most would assume.
What we can say,...is the Glenn is a bit of a goof that makes the mistake of taking death metal way to serious.I like his statement on Youtube, about his" religious" following not being Christian Mkay. Despite the fact that Satan...predominately is a character of the Christan belief, I'd put some money on the fact that his little, teeny tiny,religious perspective involves a christian set of beliefs. I hate to go on a rant,..but how many times does Glen mention God in his last 3 albums?hmmm?
And with a capitol G.
I'd say he believes in god.Yes with a capitol G.
I don't care. He's not cool. I call this NEGATIVE ATTENTION SEEKING SKILLS.I learned to do this when I was 6 or 7,...and just like Glen,...I still do it to this day. But I'm not talking about me,I'm talking about Mr. fancy pants.
Hopefully he gets the nurturing he never got in the church his parents raised him in,...or is that not very metal?

Looks like my money is on this release.
RETOX is a musical grab bag full of flotsam and jetsam from many corners of the genre' fence.
Chaotic, mathematics, unified to create this beast.Experimental, eccentric, not to mention brash.This release contains no lack of macho-insecurity.The vocals I find, are very enjoyable. I'm loving the elements of comparable bands like the Tony Danza Tap dance Extravaganza, along with some hardcore similar to D.S.-13.,...and lets say Gay For Johnny Depp is mixed in the analogy department.
(no offense meant guys).
Sick of those humdrum metalcore bands that make you wanna piss your trousers over the lack of anything we call remotely interesting?
Check out this beast of a recording. And be prepared to experience the bending of any rules set in music today.This is a very talented progression in the direction of destruction.WORD.

Top notch death metal for 2011. Easily as articulate as many of Abysmal Dawns peers in the bands genre.
Great production, great guitar work,the DRUMS are wonderful,..
you just can't go wrong .
Never a dull moment with this release. Bring the cd home, and crank it up...and watch plant life die within a 3 mile radius of your place called home.

Heathens - II

Heathens has graced us with yet another reminder that music is being destroyed .And much to my amazement,...with JOY!
This sombitch, is angry...and heavy as all hell in a megaton form. I would almost go over the lines and call it sludge,..but it's labeled hardcore.
You can call it anything you want,..but the bottom line is HEAVY.A lumbering slab of digital horror, in a minimalist, down tuned, quagmire of unhealthy rage.This easily made my top 20 best most unpleasant albums in 2010.*but we're afraid to ask.

Ominous Black & Sadgiqacea split

Here's a fun split to wrap your head around.
Let's start with Ominous Black.There are a lot of elements I can pick up in these two tracks creatively named,'Free Will Is A Lie Designed To Make Existence Interesting Part 1&2',has a lot of elements upon the first moment of the track..I hear a bit of black metal in the vocals, and there are slight elements of a post rock flavor,...only to be brought into the bleak realization that this is a sludge track,..blackened, doomed, over- driven sludge.No mercy with this fact.Track 2 carries on the aptly named,'Free Will Is A Lie Designed To Make Existence Interesting Part 2.,again,is a track that takes off with a beautiful post rock reverberant melody...only to crush your rush, with the whole"temple", of the track coming down like hellfire, reigning on your parade. Ominous Black is a well earned buy.So...BUY A COPY.

Then we get a dose of the outfit called,Sadgiqacea. Upon the first reception, the song titled 'thy will be none', feels like dick dale was plucking the guitar strings at first,...but wait,...oh HELL no...the deception I received comes down leaving my eyes dilated, and glossy.Low, booming sludge.Vocals are a blessing of melodic "singing" that's very pleasant to the ear, and deceiving enough to catch you off guard with the typically muttering growl that seems to match the sludge the band is jamming down your throat.
This split is an all around top notch recording, that I'm glad I found out about.
